Sunday morning, the morning after SA was crowned world champions, I was so happy and proud that obviously I had to hoist the flag and proudly fly it all over the place... in England. I thought is was all very funny and that everyone else would think so... WRONG! Sheesh, some people take sport seriously.

Actually there were no direct and serious threats on my life as such... and there were masses of South Africans strolling around as they always do on a lovely day in Richmond-on-Thames. Beautiful.

SHOWstudio's Nick Knight came up with the fantastic idea after filming a John Galliano Fashion show... His idea: An enticing display of the work of established video editors from as many different genre as possible, working with exactly the same footage, exactly the same brief... with their own style...

Rupert was invited to join the project as the News Editor. He says: "I've tried to keep a newsy-feel and clearly tell a story despite the fact the footage was so beautiful and artistic that it really cried out for a much more creative effort. It has been an excellent journey of self restraint and personal expression within those confines. The heart-warming and inspired subject matter was enlightening and good for the soul"
